"Live" from Dragway 42
 

It is a beautiful morning here in West Salem, OH after lots of rain yesterday. This private race should have a great 2 days of racing. Stock/super stock combo, NSS, and Factory Showdown cars!! High today is 65 so it should be fast! More later! We finally have Dumbo out and ready to see what he will run!

Sorry I didn’t post any today. Dumbo ran 2 runs then we had a part failure and ended our weekend. So we are headed home in the morning to fix it and still try to get to Tulsa to race by the weekend! Cars were running well and everyone just seemed glad to be out !!

The track and grounds are top shelf. Traction is great. Three Showdown cars ran in the 7.6's. I think some ran 180 mph.
Dumbo ran a second under on its only good pass. End of the track car would not start, loose cam basket.

Holy crap is right; but was he legal per the NHRA Factory Stock Showdown rules?

I can not say for certain because I was not there, but most of the Ford guys that run NMCA run the NMCA rules, which still allow the 3.750" pulley. NHRA currently has the minimum pulley size for the Fords @ 4". I would safely assume that he was running the smaller pulley.

They were running MNCA rules in FS. Jeff Taylor won the stock/super stock combo.
