We are so ready to race! Double national open here this weekend! Rained really hard yesterday so no test and tune! Then lots of mud this morning! They have been hauling in dry dirt to put on top of mud to make roads! We got here on Thurs so we have pavement in front of and behind us so we are good to go!! We have never been here but it appears to be lots of cars here!! Going to try to get some pics later!!

Only got 1 run, then rain. We are running 1st round random pairing, no heads up in stock and super stock!

After getting started late this morning because some people could not get out of their trailer after all the rain yesterday and then mud today, we got one qualifier, then it rained again. So after drying the track we went right in to round 1 with random pairing and no heads up first round. We couldn't run our number and got beat first round. So tomorrow we get to do it all again with a whole new race! They never posted a qualifying sheet but I think there were 30 something in stock and about that many in super stock, too!

:):):) Hey know...rain was in play off & on @ Mooresville for this past weekend...BUT...no listing/acknowledgement of winners/ru's Saturday or Sunday...???!!!...both races were run to completion I think (?)...no car count information...no qualifying sheets (weather factor...again just one shot on Saturday)...ALL of 8-10 photos...kinda' sad for FINE NHRA Division 2 racers that make the effort to attend these "open" events...literally NO exposure to speak of...yikes my brothers/sisters...is this just further testament to pulse of Stock-Super/Stock-Sportsman racing ???...:(:(:(

:(:(:( HEY Bob...no...2020 been a pretty sad year for us on racing front...son Greg "was" to spend a year in NY (soho)...that went away quickly with the pandemic...so he was back to Minneapolis (!)...which hardly turned out the "in" place to be (lately)...!!!...lol...travel for him to CCRA races & some NHRA Division 2 stuff...a challenge...(always is somewhat) we sadly...have NOT been up to...so car (s)...ready...IF/WHEN we can figure it out...hope to see ya' ALL real soon...or fire up some golf clubs...maybe a fishing pole too...lol...be safe/have fun...:):):)

Mooresville is narrow compared to some 1/8 mile track's. But Donnie does a good job keeping up the track surface and the staging lanes are down hill got to like that. My uncle Glenn built the track in 59. Uncle Mac and JP raced the first year said it was dirt. Then came the pavement but the shut down was still dirt. Then pavement all the way. I remember when there were no guardrails just a ditch and the time clocks were these big round clock looking things and just vaguely remember the guy starting you with the flags. A lot has changed over the years but at least its still running.
