Disk Brakes

Wanting to put disc brakes on my 1980 I/S Camaro , looking at Arospace. What other options for a good light weight brake system for this car.

you can buy Lamb or MW (both equal, and the best).... or later you can wish you had bought the best. Look at what the top cars have.

We put Strange Brakes all the way around our 67 Camaro last year and I am very happy with them.

I have Strange on my 1973 Formula , should be the same kit as yours . Easy to install , and has worked very well , no drag .

I have had and still do have the Aerospace brakes all around and never had a problem yet. 5 years for my ownership of the car and they were on it when I bought it.

Same here. I have had Aerospace on my car for about 10 years. Good product and great people to deal with.

Thanks for the advice. I have narrowed down to Lamb or Aerospace. I bought this car a few weeks ago, needs updating. I do have a budget but agree that buying good parts pays off in the long run.

Mr. Wells -

I would only choose between Mark Williams and Lamb. I have had Aerospace, Mark Williams and Lamb. Aerospace is not even on the same radar in my opinion. I could not get them off my car fast enough. Maybe their quality has improved since 2010 but either way, it would be Lamb or Mark Williams for me.

TBM Brakes
Zero drag, with the same stopping power as lamb and M-W and lighter.

I have had issues with Aerospace when installing them on customer cars. Wouldn't buy them for my own. Just being honest.

Strange comes in somewhere in the middle price wise between Lamb and Aero. I have always liked their products and would likely use them without hesitation. Lamb would certainly be an option if the budget for the car could accommodate them.

We run them on the 67 D/S camaro for 8 years, the fronts dragged a little, added some springs to fully release the calipers. Other then that know problem

Wilwood on all corners of my Chevelle with zero complaints. I have heard of some drag issues but mine doesn’t have it. I’ve been told they will sell you a different variation of caliper piston seals that solves the drag issue. Maybe they come in newer kits. Good thing about wilwood is that virtually everyone sells it so replacement parts are relatively easy to get. That may only be an issue here in the great white north lol.
