Jimmy was reported to have been found unresponsive Wednesday morning at Gainesville Raceway and taken to U of F Hospital. It's reported he suffered a stroke sometime during the night. Please send your prayers his way! Jim

I had the pleasure of pitting next to Jimmy many, many years ago at the US Nationals and it was a great week with a lot of laughs and smiles.....

Sad news. I don't get to go to as many races with my brother as I used to. When I was there I always looked Jimmy up. He was always much fun and left you smiling. I took a Paramedic friend I worked with to the Z-Max several years ago and we planned to hang out with my brother David Jackson. Jimmy had hurt an engine and we had just walked up and he told us the news. We said left get on it. My friend has never worked on Super Stockers but has done many motor swaps. He was in hog heaven and Jimmy was appreciating the help. Between the three of us we got it done pretty quick and got Jimmy back in the race. My friend and I laughed a lot and had an awesome time, the fun with Jimmy was worth the drive there even if we never saw a car make a pass. Godspeed and make a quick recovery Jimmy. Today has been a better day for Jimmy. One of his daughters is now there with him. He has had some movement today with is very good news. He is alert & has responded to his daughter's voice. Prayers are working so keep them coming!

Jimmy is improving so the prayers are definitely working! He has been moved into a regular room now, is talking, & has started physical therapy. He is still in the hospital in Florida. I will give another update in a few days.
