NHRA delays southern events
 

Heard from a fellow racer that NHRA facebook has a post saying they are delaying the Atlanta National event from March 26 to April 30, and possibly delaying both races at Gainesville. Any one else hear or see this?

Moved to end of April and first of May.

Oh, I just read the post on facebook. NHRA is hoping for more spectators to be able to attend the event. That explains it I guess. Must be there is a date in Georgia for more people to gather after April 1st.

I've already withdrawn from Super Stock as I know I can't make the rescheduled date, in case anyone is looking for a spot.

I don't think FL or Biden will decide this! NHRA/Glendora will postpone or cancel because they can't have a National event without fans.

Maybe Gainesville track will sell seats with card board cutouts. Then at least we can stare at our computer screens like my granddaughter has done for the last year.

The Atlanta Nationals over several times last year before being contested for sportsman in Gainesville last September. This may not be the final proposed date or venue.

I understand having to comply with the state guidelines and hope it all works out for the better, which to me means that the pandemic is controlled to a point that things can be more normal for everyone.

The line that bothers me is NHRA showing their concern for fans in the Atlanta area when they already have decided to abandon the Atlanta market and sell the track.

Well if you think media is factual I don't know what to say, but here's something to try. I open google and start to type, it ALWAYS makes a "suggestion". I try to search Biden travel Florida and guess what no suggestions, open a different search engine (Bing) and all kinds of suggestions as well as completely different articles concerning Biden's remarks on domestic travel restrictions. Everything Biden says that is ridiculous is buried and tough to find. I side with the remarks of Fl. governor DeSantis.
