FORD Performance 2021??
 
Anyone with insight into the absence of LODRS contingency support from the Ford camp?...if they’re “out” for 2021, I missed the memo. :rolleyes:

They were out for 2020 for sure.
Don’t see them on the list either.

Dave I just updated my contingency on Event reg and Ford is under vehicle on both Mello Yello and Lucas Oil, not sure if Ford Peformance was a separate one in the past. I was racing a Pontiac that gave nothing lol

Ford / Ford Performance did not pay contingency in 2020 nor will they in 2021. They were on the list for 2020 but Then the pandemic started and NHRA let them opt out of the deal. Then NHRA failed to remove / updated them and others from the list. I went through this after my win in Earlville last year. Very disappointing to check off a contingency box in the winner circle for a $1000 only to be told months later sorry. Moral of the story that contingency list NHRA posts means nothing.

That's crazy because I got my contingency packet about the middle of last year and no mention of them no longer supporting it.

I am friends with a few of the NMRA coyote stockers and they mentioned this about ford a few weeks ago.....

I think the money goes to the electric scooter program. Ford has a different set of priorities today.

From the contingency website: "Due to the impact that COVID-19 has had on the auto industry, Ford Performance made the difficult decision to suspend involvement in all race contingency award programs for the balance of the 2020 racing season. This suspension is effective as of May 8, 2020. Racers who have questions or are eligible for contingency award payments prior to May 8th should contact the Ford Performance Information Center at 800-367-3788 (8:30 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. Eastern Time)."

Stinks as they were on the form I filled out for class at the Baby Gators last year but since it was not submitted until January of this year NHRA would not submit it.

I did the same thing last year when I found out that they weren’t going to pay contingency. Told the guy via email that he can take it to Edsel Ford that Henry Ford would be disgusted with this. For what that’s worth...

Guess I’ll stop waiting for 2020 Belle Rose SS R/U money from Ford, March 2 2020, they told me it “was in the mail”......7 months ago....

Stock Class is its own separate program for listings, Ford was on the Event Class.
