Hey everyone, I just want to give you guys a heads up. I know ads are annoying, but they help pay the bills. I have had to increase resources and upgrade the site and hosting has also gone up. You will see new ads that float at bottom, but it will not slow the site down. I appreciate the support and apologize for the inconvenience.

Ken, thanks for the heads up. I noticed the ads yesterday at the bottom of the screen; at first I thought I had screwed something up.

I also assumed it was one of my filters that had changed. I completely understand and appreciate the transparency Ken!

no problem. please do not make site like nbc sports site. popup videos, 1/2 page banner at bottom of page. keep up good work.

Ken, thanks for the info. This site is awesome. Do what you need to do to keep it going. The ads are a pain, but if they stay small I get it.

Thanks everyone for you understanding. There will be no larger ads than you see now, and no ads that pop up in between post or in posts. Also there will be no video ads. You can always click the x in the upper left to remove the ad.

Anyone getting ads in Russian or ?. I'm getting them on the bottom and the side of the page.Also my system is slower on this site now.Others are normal...gsa612

I am getting the ads in English however, the ads are slowing my computer load time and it only loads part of the page at a time.
A little annoying and slower however, for free I guess I can live with it.
Even typing the message I can type faster than the computer or I pad can load the message.

Load times are determined by bandwidth. I have loaded the site on my cell phone in only 3G and it loads fine. A 4G connection loads great, any internet download speed of 10mps or better should have no issues. Here is a link to a speed test.

I don't have an answer for ads in Russian, I contacted the provider and they assured me there are no foreign ad campaigns.

Computer loads fine here...
(In the big city)
Might want to clear casche and cookies etc.
While the adds are annoying, they aren't as bad as some sites I visit...
If they don't get any worse, I can deal with it...
Some sites I won't even go to they are so many and so annoying, makes my crazy after a reading a few posts and then I leave...
On one site some of the regulars have started to cover the ad cost to make them go away...
The internet was a splendid idea...
But you knew it would eventually go commercial...
Anyone remember cable TV when it started?
Ads have become a necessary evil...
Somebody has to pay the bills!

Mine is so F'ed and ancient the Speed test wouldn't load..
I dozed off before it even showed anything on the screen.

Malwarebytes program eliminates the ads. Just sayin.

Like an induction system where either the heads, intake manifold or carb could be the restriction the same hold true here. At times it my be the users bandwidth or it can also be the load on / speed of the Ad server which is the limiting factor. Note the load on the Ad serve is not a constant.
