Because we have a very Self Important Prime Minister that loves a captive audience!! It makes no sense that I can Fly anywhere but yet when I drive my Self Isolation Rig (Motorhome and Stacker Trailer) that I am more of a risk!! Frustrating to say the least!!!

Totally agree Darcy. Trudope says the only way the border will be considered for opening is if at least 75% of Canadians have their first vaccination and 20% are double vaccinated. Trudope was behind by months in getting the vaccine. 3rd world countries got the vaccine ahead of Canada. Its not only the family of Canadian racers that are not able to do what they love but the revenue that is being lost by all aspects of cross border travel on both sides is devastating.

I would close my border if my US neighbor was allowing everything come in from southern border. I wouldnt want criminals, ms13 in my country. Like anything else if there are a few bad apples in the basket then all are bad until physically looked at.

Yes it does. I know this is not a racing thing, but a car guy and gal thing. This will definitely effect Goodguys in Puyallup, Washington July 23-25. We always have a HUGE turnout of Canadian cars at that event. BIG impact. Kind of hard to plan for our northern brothers and sisters when there is BIG problem in planning and getting here. See you all next year.

Even if the border does open on the 21st, how do you make plans for an event that is 2 days later????? And YES the event is a go.

The useless dictator running (or ruining) our country has never wanted the Keystone XL. No doubt in my mind he had a hand under the table stroking Biden's ego on that decision.

One of these days, I am going to load up all my racing stuff, stop at
Taco Bell, and make a run for the border. The Americans want me there
spending money. I just won't come back till they have the borders
figured out. Or maybe not come back at all.........

Just sold a classic car to a Gent in Montreal. We have been trying to get all the customs BS right for over a week. These Canuks are crazy about their border stuff. Just sayin.....................

Thanks to the Chinese and Trudumb the failed drama teacher we are prisoners of war up here. He is passing laws that would never have passed with opposition. True dictator! Thinking of applying for refugee status to the USA or fire a cannon over the border and throw up the white flag. I speak English and love to work........... might fit in down there! I like the Kentucky area if I get to immigrate.

Bob, we have met and surpassed the "required" percentages as required/laid out by all levels of government to reopen; however all too quickly for our all knowing leaders agendas! Now there are new measures, restrictions and timelines which have been implemented. Vaccinated vs unvaccinated, flying vs driving to USA, interprovincial quarantines and restrictions...Now even the vaccinated are not safe...but no fear fellow Canadians...Trudeau, Ford and the rest of the brain trust of Canadian Politicians will let us know when we can have permission to leave our homes!!! Sheep away!

Doubt it. Every time they can pick me out as if I was wearing a Team Canada hockey jersey. I think what we speak is not what the Yanks call English. For instance this coming Thursday, Canada Day... we say it's July 1st... to them it's the first of July. And then there are those pesky 302 powered late 60's Camaros... can you say "ZEE" twenty eight? I sure can't.

We have been testing in Napierreville all season, as well as this upcoming weekend...I have never been informed by the track owners(Brunet Family) of any change in schedule. They are very much looking forward to a great race weekend July 9-11, 2021. See you all there!

Thank you Charles...I don't have Facebook...and I did not check the sidebar of the D1 website to see the update!...Provincial and International Borders won't be remotely close to open normally, will have a million restrictions/requirements by that time in August to cross over and will not significantly add to the car count, so I don't see the reasoning.

With that said...see you all in August.

Trudope may be smarter than we think. I'm sure he knows what's going on on the southern border. What better way to keep people out than to use the covid excuse to keep the doors closed.

That's probably not why he's doing it, but it would be nice to think someone is looking out for his country.
