Sadly, D 4 stock eliminator racer Derek Hake passed away early this morning. The last few years Derek drove the Roadrunner owned by Jim Lewis. Jim wants to thank everyone, the entire CLASS RACER community for the prayers, calls and concerns for his buddy Derek ……GODSPEED ……

So sad. We both raced H/SA and I/SA in Division 4 and had many heads up races. He beat me every time. He was a great competitor and will be missed.

I am very sorry to hear this. He helped me a lot when I first bought my Camaro. I don’t believe I talked to him since May of this year. Had he been sick?

Hate this news. I know Derek is in a far better place. Derek and I got very tight these last few year's. Sure am going to miss him at the race and visiting on the phone. Ed and I will tip a few in your honor asap.
