Stolen Trailer
I had my trailer stolen last night from my brothers in north central Indiana.
Please be on the look out for a White 26 ft ATC V nose with a left side escape door. Sits higher than normal for a short inner wheel well. Has six spoke black and polished alloy wheels. Michigan plate J99694 and Donato Engineering sticker on back door. Contact Cass County Sherif Dept. 574-753-7800 Thanks, John |
Re: Stolen Trailer
What color is the decal on the back door? My wife and I headed to St. Louis for dinner. And we were passed by a trailer that has to be very similar. It was a white V nose ATC. It was sitting pretty high which is what got my attention. I figured it was a snow mobile trailer. I can’t say for sure about the wheels or left side escape door because I did not look at the wheels. And he passes on the left. But it had something engineering on the back door in Red. He passed us about 3:30 near Scott Air Force base.interstate 64. Was headed west bound.

Sorry but this just sucks, I don’t care who you are or where you live or how you vote but I am sick of this crap, just over it. John

Please use this link and look into this GPS device. I’ve had mine for over 7 years.

Re: Stolen Trailer
I would recommend one of these:
https://landairsea.com/products/silvercloud-sync I have them and they work well. I particularly like the GeoFence feature. There is a monthly charge for the tracking service but to me it's cheap insurance. These units have an internal battery so they will continue to send signals even when the power is removed. There are reviews that state some customers charge them at night and then throw them in their kids backpacks before sending their kids to school. They can be plugged directly into an OBD port. They also sell a power cord so they can be placed anywhere. Using a power cord lets you place it under the hood instead of under the dash. In a trailer that always has battery power, you could hide it just about anywhere. Same in a boat. If your trailer does not always have battery power, you could hook it to just about any trailer wire circuit to make sure it went off. |

Re: Stolen Trailer
John any update on the trailer? It is so unfortunate that people do this. I doubt they know how much the contents of a trailer means to us.

Do an eBay search for Coban GPS Tracker TK303. No monthly fee. Get a SIM Card. I use one from T-Mobile. When you call the tracker, it sends you a text with a link to google maps Dan |
Re: Stolen Trailer
I read that the Apple Airtag is only good for a short distance? Is this true?

This creates a series of pings that will give you or the authorities an idea of the location and direction. The random Apple devices are not linked to the Airtag nor do they know they are sending a signal to the cloud. It just happens almost Bigbrother like, but it is pretty handy for a one time $25 fee an no annual fee for each one. |
