PMR Race Cars is proud to announce the return of our Stock/Super Stock Combo to be held at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in conjunction with Phil Painter’s Muscle Cars at the Strip. The long awaited Stk/SS event returns to the west coast with a fantastic $10,000.00 purse up for grabs, lots of door prizes, beautiful Las Vegas weather, and the finest racing facility in the Western United States. We are expecting a great turnout of some of the best NHRA Stock and Super Stock racers on the planet. This event could be the start of a series of combo races giving the NHRA Sportsman racers a great way to compete for the kind of purse and prizes we deserve. I just wanted to make sure I'm reading this correctly. It shows Friday and Saturday are qualifying runs and the race will be on Sunday. I have to work Friday and wanted to come on Saturday. Is this correct?

Friday and Sat. morning to qualify.
Sat. Eliminations and to be finished Sat. in afternoon.

I just want to be sure... Saturday eliminations finishing up when? Sunday afternoon makes more sense from what I can see. But if eliminations really will run to completion on Saturday I'll cancel my Sunday night hotel reservation.

We will finish Sat. afternoon
Sunday has plenty of other bracket races that start and finish that day that
are high dollar and low dollar deals if you want to stay and bracket race.
One of those brackets pays up to $10,000 as well for $200. Entry.

It is strongly recommended that you pre-enter this event. We are trying to get a reliable head count which is all important to finalize the payouts.

My Son Jon is throwing in a $1,000.00 into the pot for his Business
"Boulder City Trailers.com " He would sure appreciate an opportunity

he usually has at least 30 in Stock as well.

It is official.....Phil Painter with Muscle Cars at The Strip has really stepped up to the plate for us NHRA Stock/SuperStock racers. The $10,000 to win purse is now fully guaranteed!!!!

We are also planning a get together at the PMR pits on Friday night. Racers are bringing TriTip roasts, Traegers, ice chest full of goodies, lawn chairs and hours of lying about our racing accomplishments!!!!

You do not want to miss this race. Gas and diesel are going to be a challenge....but most of you won't hesitate to drive the same miles back to LVMS for the National or points race for a fraction of the purse you can win at this event. In addition to the combo race there will be a Big Dollar($10k) bracket race and a Pro bracket with a $1500 win.

I will be pre-entering this weekend and plan on making the 8 hour tow to LVMS Thursday. Can you tell me how late the entry gate will be open Thursday?

Here is a link to a "tentative" schedule. Looks like entry to the pits will be Noon to 8PM on Thursday. Don't forget we are having a BBQ/Pot Luck and the PMR pits on Friday night. You are welcome to bring something fattening. Any healthy stuff will be promptly tossed in the closest can.

Sorry but all attendees will undergo a full cavity search for the following items of contraband:

Carrots
Broccoli
Diet Soda
Lite Beer
Baked Potato Chips

Further, although music will be broadcasted throughout the PMR pits anyone trying to infiltrate the event with a Boy George tape will be summarily dismissed and promptly escorted to the pit area that is reserved for V-6s, /6s, and of course......Fords.

A full Cavity Search would be the most excitement I have had for
10 years!

We will bring the Pink SS/KA Duster/Red E/SA Demon for the Combo.
Plus our two 10 second Valiant street cars and a Red C8 Mid Engine
Corvette. Perhaps a couple of other 70 Duster race cars.

Unfortunately no Mater... Unless I can get somebody to haul it back for me as I have to haul a car for work back north. Thats how I'm justifying the time and fuel for this deal lol If any one from out west was going to Bohannanen's race in St Louis that could haul the Mater back, I would split fuel with them, and I would bring it as my daughter is going to be with me in Vegas regardless and we are plannin on racing both cars in St Louis....

Mark what can I bring to eat. I take it some plate food would work. Maybe some potato salad or you name what you like. My girls want to help make what ever for me to bring. My wife says the same thing. I'm not well but plan on doing my best to enjoy this. Thanks to all in advance for this. Weather will be beautiful!

Been a nice day here. I'm guessing there are 50-60 cars. I seen plenty of folks taking videos of the cars. We had a tri tip dinner and enough food for 200 people. Here are a few of us still enjoying the great food.

Hi Chuck, Miss not having you and your wife here. We qualify off of our reaction time for this race. We get one more qualifying pass this morning. Cal Method does lead the pack with a trip zip perfect .000.
