New Racer Grade Point Question For Stock Eliminator N. Event
 

I now understand HOW the grade point system works. However, I am trying to determine what is a REALISTIC amount of grade points I should expect to need to earn this season in order to run these nationals next year in 2023

1- Gators
2- US Nationals
3- Maple Grove
4- The zMAX Dragway Races

Gators are definite 8, Indy most likely a 5 same for Maple Grove, Charlotte usu add lly a6 or 7.

Where do you live as it sounds like you might be in the Carolinas by the events you talked about. Div 2 has the national open series that starts next month in Mooresville and you could get the 8 points that is has been taking to get into some events.

Wait until the Monday before the event and you can probably get into all of them with 1.The weather forecast is usually some rain at all of them.

Yes, but the problem there is with the early entry system. Gainesville filled up in an hour ,months ago . Then ends up with openings on Monday of the event.
What is a guy that works for a living in Div 3 gonna do?
Hey, boss. I gotta leave for 10 days...See ya. Then he has to drive 'round the clock to get there?
Also , need to mention..Someone with 8 gp's in Wa. state enters and holds a spot for months...Meanwhile , a part time racer with 4 gp's ,who lives in Ocala can't even race in front of his friends and family.
The whole system is bad ,and needs an overhaul, if NHRA really cared about Sportsman racers...IMO

Well I’m currently tied for 193rd nationally in points. If I can go to enough races to maintain that and jump 10 spots in the standings a year I can win a world championship when I’m about 70 😆

Also going to need to 10x my income to be able to attend enough races - lol

Quick grade points story
Our first season in stk ..my son had 1 grade point. We wanted to run Dallas Natl. He kept the registration page open on his PC ...woke up about 3AM hit refresh...1 spot open!..got in the event, motor self destructed 1st qualifier!
