I have shipped rims all over the country. You can either try getting boxes from a wheel store or, depending on size, get 16", 17", etc. "cubes"; cardboard boxes that are the same size all the way around.

In boxes, with extra cardboard on front and back. Try to find used rim boxes.

Re: shipping help, rims

A lot of the new wheel boxes are pretty thin and depending weight / size of wheel by the time wheel gets to final destination if shipping singularly by courier / not on one skid often found wheel edges broke thu thin cardbord damaging wheel .. so protect edges before boxing up if older / thicker boxes cant be found

They are currently a fortune to ship anymore if
you are not a business.

Try your local Fastenal. They do store to store shipments. Takes a little longer but pretty cheap!

Drop off at Fastenal and person has to pick up at the store.

Since when? I shipped a block from CT to Oregon using Fastenal not too long ago. Boxed it up, strapped it on a pallet, and away it went.

Anytime I have shipped wheels they have had tires on them. Strapped them to a pallet and shipped common carrier.

From the Fastenal website. Map wouldn't load.

Fastenal does not currently offer shipping between East and West Zones as shown on below map.

Check into Greyhound Bus--- only problem is you have to deliver to a bus terminal to ship and you must pick up at a terminal but otherwise they are kinda reasonable--- only have to watch package dimensions and weight ===FED 387
