Might want to post what combination you have. Maybe someone can step up with some parts to get you down the track legally.

I've heard of people entering a race online, paying the entry fee,and not even showing up at the event. They claim they got a grade point for this.I have no idea if this is true.

Find a rental car that’s in the guide.

"paid entry, online tech card and physically at event, you will receive grade point"

They put an end to that very quickly once they figured out what was going on early on in this whole online tech card business. Now I'm pretty sure you must be on the property to get the grade point.

You are probably right about the grade point, but do you think they would refund the money? lol.

In Division 1, we pay at the gate, so there are no refunds if you dont show, and certainly no grade points.

Definitely no! But in D2 we pay at the gate also if I remember correctly when this Covid stuff first came out they were accepting payment online and that's how people were getting the grade point for not even showing up.

Re: Grade points

I’ve always found this to be bull ****, if you want a grade point you should have to be on the Q sheet and pass fuel check, if you choose to leave after that then so be it. Give another racer a comp single then you both have benefited. But just buying grade points is BS..

Unless you accumulate more than 8 grade points, you're wasting your money and time. Gators closed out in 6 minutes with 8 grade points, so that's my point.

When I asked the Division 3 Director he said you MUST be on property and then can claim broke and receive a grade point. This was within the last few weeks.

I know someone that said he got a grade point at Indy.He was there. He wasn't on the ladder though. And it wasn't with a race car. It's really a strange policy altogether.
I know one thing.I would not pay $180 entry fee if I had no intention of racing a race car at the event. That's just me.

I know that if you make a pass and don't weight or do fuel check, you don't get a grade point. That is the way it was several years ago.

Well,I'm going to Earlville, Iowa this weekend for a National Open.

Supposed to get TWO grading points. That's a great deal.

Re: Grade points

This past weekend's event at Rockingham was a double the LODRS race and the NO race. I was astonished at the amount of cars that left after the Lucas race, probably nearly half. I know the NO race is 1/8 mile blah blah and so on but with all the bitching about fuel prices and grade points why would you not run that race? I don't care for half tracking either but if I'm there I'm a racing.

I would be running this season if i had pistons, i would like to get points for indy next year (bucket list) i would not run first round and jeopardize someone else's race

Is it possible they paid, claimed they "broke" and left?
Could they have done this and still got the grade point since they were on the property?

It is possible but I know there are some that left that have been quoted as refusing to do the " hillbilly half tracking" thing.
