Ethanol free gas... street car
Any reason not to use it in modern street cars? 40 cents a gallon cheaper near me and 90 octane.

No reason at all. Around here it’s called Recreational Gas.

You should get better mileage with the corn fuel out of the gas.

Re: Ethanol free gas... street car
When gasahol first came to the market in the 80's there was some compatibility issues with seals on injectors and fuel lines. Just make sure the manufacturer approves the use of this fuel

We have lots of it around her but it is lower than 90 octane and more expensive than E-10.
I would use it in a heartbeat. |

It's what gas WAS before Gasohol. Around here the stations just sell The premium (91) or at the Depot they also have regular (87) for your daily driver.
There is also a "Pure Gas" app that you can get for your phone. |

Is it at a regular pump ? Or maybe being sold for "off road" marine and agricultural use with no road tax ?? Around here it is also a lot more expensive.

Re: Ethanol free gas... street car
WOW! Why would anyone buy the gas with ethanol with those prices?
|
Re: Ethanol free gas... street car
I have to wonder if the lower price for such "recreational" gasoline is due to no road tax, for use in boats, off road vehicles, lawn mowers etc. Here in Canada, typically ethanol free gas is only available in some brands of the higher octane premium blends, and a an increased price. If this recreational gas is cheaper, and street legal to use, sounds like a win win situation. I use ethanol free premium gas in my old carburated hot rod, as well as my generators, lawn mower and tractor, weed whacker, pit scooter, leaf blower, etc, to help prevent the corrosion in carbed fuel systems, that the ethanol can cause , especially in engines that sit for periods of time. My newer stuff is designed to use E10, the older stuff is not. Plus it seems that I get better gas mileage with ethanol free.
