Ford Pro Stock
Who builds the engines for the Cuadra Ford team out of Mexico? Is it Charlie Westcott?

Re: Ford Pro Stock
I found it and it's Frank Iaconio.

Re: Ford Pro Stock

Re: Ford Pro Stock
They've been running Elite engines all year. And they're not Ford engines
|
Re: Ford Pro Stock
I think the engines where from gray and have been maintain by elite.
|
Re: Ford Pro Stock
There will never be another COMPETITIVE Ford or Mopar engine in Pro Stock as long as they stay at 500 inches.Sad but true
|
Re: Ford Pro Stock
There you have it. The N.H.R.A. totally ****s up the class of the people.
|
Re: Ford Pro Stock
Has Charlie divested himself of the Pro Stock?
|
Re: Ford Pro Stock
They have 500 inch chevy's in them sorry to hurt your feelings, lol these are all powered by Frank's motors, Elite maintains them sometimes, Mexicans have a shop very close to Elite's shop and they are good people.

Re: Ford Pro Stock
My Mopar feelings aren't hurt, just curious. Pro Stock is a joke. At least Alan Prusiensky has a HEMI under the hood of his Dart.

As far as being competitive, if you go back to the first year of Fuel Injection, Roy & Allen were doing just fine...car went as fast as 6.54 that year, and qualified in the top half numerous times. No reason why the "Ford" couldn't run right there with them, since the Ford stuff was copies of what was already available to other manufacturers. |

The last post on Charlie's YouTube about anything PS Ford was 5 years ago.
https://youtube.com/shorts/_lfHWPDIing?feature=share He also has a page for his MilitiaProducts that is still up. https://www.militiaproducts.com/home |
Re: Ford Pro Stock
Cam tunnel was to high in block and pan rail was to narrow!
|
Re: Ford Pro Stock
Ford had DRCE style heads or Mopar style heads available. Engine builders could choose to use either one.

Darin and Ford submitted the head to Glendora for approval and after having the cylinder head in their possession for some time and sharing it with other teams and cylinder head builders, it was rejected. Two prominent Pro Stock engine builders that I know also told me that many of the features of Ford's sequential wedge head were incorporated into the current version of GM's Pro Stock cylinder head. |
Re: Ford Pro Stock
Been there, done that with same results (except Prostock without a sponsor). Phish

Re: Ford Pro Stock
I guess if you cant see competitive Fords in pro Stock then pull for the competitive Fords everywhere else in Drag Racing.....
