Redding Ca.Divisional?

How many of you would support a Divisional race in Redding Ca.?
Jesse, Tony and crew have redesigned the facility with major improvements. You can go on FB and see the changes for yourself. Very impressive.
I personally think we need options in this division. Redding is a great option.
I will be testing there in a few weeks.

Thoughts?

I’ll be there if I can ever get the car finished. Loved going up North to Fremont, Sonoma and Sacramento back in the day. Although I never raced there didn’t Redding have divisional races in the past.?

They had a National Open.

I would go to Redding as long as they don't put the race in the middle of summer. Todays weather forecast is high temperature of 107 and heavy smoke in the air from wildfires in the area.

Re: Redding Ca.Divisional?

The trip is about 630 miles from my home here in Las Vegas. Its roughly the same distance for me to travel to Sonoma, California. I seen an article a couple dragsters back. The new track owners put down 1320' of a new concrete surface and new guard rails. Like Darin says the time of year would be tricky. I bet it could be fast there even in May. I wish my equipment was newer for towing but I would give it a go for sure. "Make it a double!" Out west the double races sure do help traveling cost for most.

I posted this with their approval. If you have questions Jesse will chime in here.

Far enough north that you would pick up Div 6 cars also.

If Sonoma doesn't want a points race, put a double the weekend before the Sonoma national.

I'd support it and believe it would be well supported, provided that it was scheduled in a cool time of the year.

Re: Redding Ca.Divisional?

I'm sure there would be some Div 6 racers that would go to Redding.
As well NWCR Assocation is putting together 5 races for 2023 that we think will interest Div7 racers as well.
Woodburn and Medford Oregon.
Dates will be based on NHRA race dates in 2023 and they will be Doubles also.
The Seattle NWCR August 13th 14th event, the paid out was 2,000 to win ( to Brad Burton) and 1,000 for RU ( Joe Sorensen. First round winners got a pay out as well!
NWCR events pay from the bottom up and are guaranteed.
Div 7 Stock and Super Stock racers are welcome to join the fun at a NWCR event. We are on FB and Class Racer. Com site.

A divisional would be great but.........

If you want to have a good time and race for a good purse out here go to Redding and run these guys race! T&A has done a fantastic job we've run a few of there races and my only complaint is we have not gone to more. They treat you great and the tracks both Redding and Sacramento were good for our cars.

Thank you Tony and Jesse

Scott, I agree. I went to one of their events and I got quite a few runs. I didn't run the eliminator, but instead tested and they gave me all the runs I needed to work through numerous changes. Traction was good.

Redding is a car City. If it’s not a show car it’s a street rod or a race car. Dirt and asphalt. We’ve been racing there since the early 70’s. They respect you and treat you like a pro. They want you to come back.

Re: Redding Ca.Divisional?

Being a Hotel user. How close are they? That probably isn't the most important question. Specially for those with a MH. That is one thing I dislike about Sonoma. To much driving back and forth. That and the sportsman pitting on a hill side. Not the easiest place to walk. From the comments so far from all. The track itself sounds great. I hope the hard work and the money it takes is rewarded in a good way.
