Epping Div 1 LODRS

Not sure why there isn't a thread yet, so creating one.

Also, if you are looking for the live link on NHRA.tv, it is under "LIVE EVENTS" and not listed under the "SPORTSMAN" tab, where it usually is.

I will be there in person tomorrow for eliminations, and would be happy to share pictures, if it's easy to do on here (I haven't done it before, but hopefully can figure it out), or if there is a preferred Facebook Community to post it on. I have lots of Stock/Super Stock pictures from prior events as well!

Good luck to all the racers, and I look forward to a very entertaining day!

Billy I took care of that.... thanks for the thread and support. You can upload photos as long as they are no larger than 1200x1000 pixels. If you have any issue, please let me know.

It is going smoothly here. We are expecting some rain soon. They have completed 2 qualifiers of all classes. Stock 1st Q was in the low 70's overcast and very high humidity. Almost foggy. 2nd Q wasmuch hotter, 85 or better. Bright sun. They have us scheduled for 3 qualifiers, but i doubt it , probable rain.

Wishing you the best up there in the far northeast Mr. Casey; glad to see you are still racing!

We got in 2 Q runs plus clean up runs. The drag racing Gods were extra nice today as the rain somehow missed Epping. The DA was 2500' but it should be considerably faster tomorrow. No Q runs tomorrow, right into eliminations. Dialing in will be tricky.

Congrads Greg! I too am partial to the "money maker" Superbee stocker, but the Mirada has quite the storied history as a pre-production vehicle built by Leopold for super stock and featured in the Mopar Muscle june/july 1995 issue!

The winners gathering after the finals was great,

Greg has not raced much this year because of family and business, he has won this race before, but this year certainly seemed special to him. Congrats Greg

Jeff Coyne,,,, where do we start,,,,

Drove a good race and was a deserving winner.

All he could talk about was getting a winners hat. I think he was going to sleep with the hat on and the Wally near him, if he ever calmed down enough to sleep that night.

There were lots of people congratulating Jeff , and some did not even know him , but he was a first time winner and it was his time.

Friends were sending pics home to his wife of the gathering and of an extremely happy and excited Jeff.

Congrats to both, I am so glad I did not head home after getting beat, great to see these 2 guys win and their faces after the finals

What a weekend!
Congratulations to Greg, two years in a row, great job, you must have wiped your feet before each round!

Jeff, what can I say that Dave already hasn’t. Congrats buddy you drove a great race, enjoy! I can’t wait to see your new hat.

Overall the weekend was a blast, the weather gods somehow skirted the rain around the track on Friday and everybody got their runs in.

Saturday was a beautiful day, and we were treated too two great heads up races 2nd round. First was the battle of H/Auto cars with Hollywood Horgan edging out D.J. Pires. Then it was time for the A/S battle. Casey verses Bednaz and what a great race it was, both car cooled down and tuned up, both drivers hit the tree and made perfect passes Eddy snuck by Dave by a mere .012 to take the win with 10.04 to Casey’s 10.08. That’s what class racing is all about!

One thing that was neat was the people in the stands. NED did a great job of promoting this even. I left about 4:30 and the spectator parking lot was full and they were sending cars up to the back lot. So the spectators saw a full show of Nhra sportsman racing at its finest. I just goes to show you that if the tracks plan it right they can do very well on these events. Bring in a few jet cars and wheelstanders and you’ve got a show.

Congrats again to the winners and ru’s.
