Re: HP numbers
Hi Rick, I think the 67-68 Nova was Bob Gullet. On the Corvette, I don't
know. |
Re: HP numbers

Re: HP numbers
BOB ,seems like you get hit more than anyone else, the price you pay for having a damn fast car i guess. Gary I feel your pain ,Like Tom Reese at St Louis going 121 under now you can go 129.9 no problem . Oh well . Rick .

Re: HP numbers
I see your point , much easier to keep the average down with a combo that alot of people run . Not as bad as yours but with only 2 cars like mine I sure have to watch it myself. Must be a better way but I sure dont know how. Rick

Re: HP numbers
Also don’t think class eliminations shouldn’t count towards the average. Takes the fun out of going fast.

Re: HP numbers
Who got the 340 6 pack auto combo hit?
|
Re: HP numbers
Rod I believe Sante Grossi at Bakersfield got a couple three dings. He tried to lower it which would have been fairly easy at Pomona but it went mineshaft. Go figure!

Re: HP numbers
Notice that 1.31 under yields a 5.25% immediate hit or about 15 to 20 hp.

Completely different car with a different wheelbase. I know about the 66 cam, but aren't there a few 67 stick cars out there? |
Re: HP numbers
Correct me if I am wrong. Doesn't Jim Parsons in Div. 5 run a 67 F/S Nova? Don't know of any others, could be more.

Re: HP numbers
It's only one data point, but it seems that the D5 Chevy II clan (Merolla, Parsons, Hladky/McConnell) all run as 1966s:

Also, Hladky has switched to the L-79 350hp combo. I agree that the 68 & up platform should be a completely different platform...it's basically a Camaro with different sheet metal. |
