Nhra tv

Site is up cost is $149.99…

Re: Nhra tv

And beware of NHRA doing an auto renew on the subscription before the discount can be applied. I got the email with the discount the day after it was already renewed. I know I'm not the only one this has happened to. And I was never signed up on auto renew. Plus their site won't allow you to remove the card you have on file. I have several emails and calls to NHRA but they will not return my calls or emails.

There used to be a way to turn off the auto renewal, I hope the new platform has that feature as well.

Email this lady at NHRA to see if she can fix things for you. The has been a very big help to me in the past. Her name is Nancy Wheeler, nancywh@nhra.com

Is it my imagination or does the NHRA stick it to us every chance they get ? I mean, is the coverage going to be up to snuff ? They claim they have completely redesigned NHRA TV. Well , that’s a good start …….:)

I've watched some of the existing content on the site and so far it does seem to work a lot better than the old version. At least on my computer.

The previous site worked pretty well on the TV using Firestick, sometime soon I hope to try it again over there and see if it works at least as well now.

Since there is an expense to produce the live feeds, how much do you feel is a fair price for EVERYONE'S membership to increase so that you can watch for "free"?

I was happy with the free announcers deck feed we used to get. I could listen when I was working.

Don't have hours to sit and watch.

I’m spoiled we use to get coverage for free remember?
You don’t because you weren’t racing then
The coverage sucks
We also should get a crew member entry for our entry if you wanna know how I feel
Nhra is charging us because there so good at presenting their products to the masses
We are all they have. To bleed$$$$$

A free audio option would be nice, but I feel that paying for this service is not that big of a deal. I'd much rather pay $149.99 (Same as other streaming companies like FloRacing) to watch an event beginning to end than call NHRA Now at the end of the event like we used to, just to hear who won. :D

Also, the divisional coverage is FREE.

I am not EVERYONE and not interested in paying for something I have never used and have no interest in using.

I go racing and am not a tv watcher. I have better things to do than sit in front of a tv.

I have a life and have no use for Social Media. I do not have Fake Book, Instagram, or any of the others. I graduated from Jr. High in the 60s so I have no interest in playing those juvenile games again on Social Media sites.

NHRA just give us the radio broadcasts like in the past. I can listen to the broadcast of the races while doing something productive.

Maybe I am just old and cranky but NHRA takes the racers for enough now with all the fees. Memberships, license fees, and entry fees which go up every year.

Just my 10 cents which was formerly my 2 cents until inflation ate the other 8.

X 2. Whatching any Motorsports is pretty boring, drag racing is painfully to whatch as one would rather be in the driver's seat releasing the 2 step.
Support you local Class Association events with the money you would pay NHRA TV.
Their the ones that have your same interests at heart if you Class race.

I'm not aware that there is a purely audio feed anymore.

Nhra tv should be a benefit of our membership! They can charge anybody who is not a member the fees I did buy it last year with the discount I will not be purchasing it this year. They have gone nuts with charging us every little dime. From $140 insurance charge on national events to raising the divisional entry here in division one without really telling anyone.

Same question. How much do you feel the membership should go up to cover the expense?

And what about these sneaky little fees to enter online, and division 2 says it must be done online? Another $5 probably split between them

I don't watch the NHRA TV, so it doesn't bother me at all. I just don't want to see an increase in membership fees to cover another members "right" to watch.

If you feel that the cost of being an NHRA Member and running NHRA events has become too cost prohibitive, YOU HAVE A CHOICE....

Mrs. Wheeler is quite an asset for NHRA but also for us Members and NHRA racers. I had a chance to talk to her on few occasions and she gave me a fast and super service.
Please, take care of this Lady

I don't know about the number of devices, I have been wondering that myself.

I did discover a new feature. If you click on the gear on the bottom right of the page you can play at half or quarter speed. The best part is that the announcers sound like they have been drinking, a lot!

I have had NHRA TV or what ever it was called from the first year. JMO The resolution of the current broadcast is better than ever. I am hopeful the broadcasts this year will be as good as last year. For the yearly cost I could not go to one day of one event.

It is definitely better this year, I believe it is because they have involved Warren Evans who previously did D3TV. I believe the cameras are his. Much few issues so far this year.

I feel for you guys that are still racing and the costs you have to pay for everything NHRA, with the small rewards that winning now yields. I no longer pay for an NHRA membership. Think they really went down hill when Mr. Gibbs retired. Even before that, corporate greed was taking it's toll.

But for those of us who have retired from drag racing and want to keep track of our friends still racing and still loving stock and superstock class racing. The $149/year is a good deal as long as the TV streaming service is good. Too hard for some of us who lived hard in our younger years to travel much! So nice to watch on the laptop when ever stock, superstock or Top Alcohol dragster are running.

I know, have a large screen TV on the table right in front of me with the cable. But for some reason I wind up not plugging in.. Not sure why.. Maybe because when the good classes are done for a while, one can surf the net.... But thanks for the suggestion!

Years ago I did not know who won till I got my National Dragster. Then it got to where you could call in and get results. Now I can watch and congratulate my friends while they are on the return road. Now is the good old days in recards to results.

Re: Nhra tv

Quick question. Just started watching races through NHRA’s YouTube channel this year. NHRA TV has something like 37 races they are going to let us see for free without buying a subscription. They are all or mostly divisional races. I can see the pros on one of my streaming apps if I want. I’m more interested in divisional and sportsman racing. If you sign up for $149 - 25% discount package. Do you get to see any additional divisionals other than the 37 free ones? Do you get to see stock and super stock qualifying runs and all the elimination runs at nationals?

There are no additional 'pay' divisional events. The ones that they do stream are all free.

Yes, 'in theory' you get to see every run at all national events. Sometimes they don't get the equipment fired up in time in the morning, and you may be out of luck if the Pros finish on Sunday but the sportsman classes finish Monday. But for the most part, you get to see it all.

340Cuda 03-07-2023 01:00 PM

Re: Nhra tv

If you subscribe to NHRA.TV I don't believe you get to see any additional Divisional races.

However as a subscriber you most always get to see every run down the track at a national event, just like you were there. There have been limited occasions in the past where they may have started the broadcast late and missed some runs. However in some cases you could "rewind" and see what was missed.

My observation so far with the new provider (Endeavor Streaming), the broadcast starts well before anything happens on the track.

Like the Divisional Races the audio is primarily what you would hear over the track public address system.
