No Problem announcer

I just want to give props when they are due. The announcer at No Problem this weekend is really good. Very informed and easy to listen too.

I think he is doing a good job as well.

What is his name?

Job well done …. My only regret is that he is not in charge of the starting line. I have a bad feeling that Larry Hill will not be racing at No Problem in the near future.

Agreed, from being on site on both agendas.
Announcer doing great job.
Starting line was pitiful!!

Chris Monaghan and he is a great guy. Super funny if you get him out of the booth. He is definitely restrained there and probably for good reason. ;)

You sounded good 600 miles away!

Yes, fabulous job Mr. Chris. My wife enjoyed the commentary and is trying to find a Dr to address the starting line narcolepsy you astutely diagnosed. …

Chris you were a breath of fresh air. I’m a little bias b/c you like stick cars. Keep up the good work. And if you have any influence with Nelson, please tell him to change the ink cartilage in the ET slip printers.

I just did screenshots on my phone from live timing all weekend. That way I could read them.

I can't speak to the starting line issues because I don't have a high HP car. But the NPR staff put on a great event. The place had tons of spectators sat and sun. Concession stands were packed! Even had fireworks!

Everything the track has done and put on for the weekend was outstanding!

I was behind an F/SA in first round in left lane and watched it just boil the tires! No way was I going to hook. Was told it was around a half dozen or so consecutively in the left lane of E1 that spun. Then it was addressed.
For E1 when prep should be at its best for that to happen is unaccpetable!

Does D4 always have stock first? In D5 we have SST first which I think definitely helps. Get heat in the track and I would think big tire throttle stop would be less susceptible to tire spin. Surprised that’s not uniform with scheduling across all 7 divisions.

Unfortunately this is correct. We pleaded with the former division director to put SST first. Maybe our new director will listen.

Can we get the announcer from this past weekend to do the national event TV shows. And kick Tony P to the curb. He was awesome.

I spent some time in the tower when the Hemi cars ran. I was impressed by not only his announcing but his absorbing info on the Hemi's while Herb McCandless added color commentary. When Herb compares you Steve Evans and Jon Lundburg, that is quite a compliment

Great meeting you this weekend my man!

I greatly appreciate that. It was a great honor to share the mic with him.

I was quite proud of myself this weekend. The closest I came to making an off color comment over the mic was when Bengt Blomberg got out of shape in T/S Q1, and I made my #2 comment lol.

All other divs and national events run SST first and that was communicated last year to Mady when she took over. In the interest of fair reporting, the Dallas double and Tulsa divs last year had SST first, followed by stock. I think the main benefit would be during round 1, you have SST in the lanes for their round 1 while pairing stock eliminator in the back of the lanes. This should cut down on wasted time.

Additionally, I believe the Belle Rose divisional makes logistic sense for stock to be first down the track. The class had an extra round on all other classes and also had class eliminations on Saturday to contend with as well.

I believe Stock being first in D4 at Belle Rose will be the exception and not the rule.

Correct. I just confirmed with Mady, and SST will be first out at the remainder of D4 races.
