It is with great sadness to post of the passing of a great friend, racer and family man, George Vignogna. George passed away Thursday night. Thank you for a lifetime of memories. Until we meet again my friend.....

I never had the pleasure of meeting George. I know he was associated with many Mopars during his lifetime. Prayers for the family , GODSPEED !!!!!

OMG!
I've been a friend with the Vignogna family going back to the Dover Drag Strip days way back in the seventies. As fine a family as you could know in the world of drag racing and MoPars.
George was quite a character and will be missed. Rest in Peace my friend.

This is such bad news I've known George and the whole Vignogna family for well over 35 years he was a great guy and always fun to talk to.This one hurts

Great Guy always would bring out the best in every body. I have known the families since the 1980"s great people. Lou, Chris, Jerry, George, Ray, Jimmy & Arin. Funny, tough racers always looked forward to see them in the pits. We racers, families & friends look forward to seeing the whole family again some day in ( HEAVEN ) and reminiscence over the past good times together. I Miss You George ! Dan Lynch

When Joe D texted me at 7 AM Friday morning with the devasting news, it was a big shock! I kinda got a bit misty eyed. I've always enjoyed seeing George and loved his quick wit. Very funny guy but had a lot of class. I'll miss you George and God speed. Say HI to Lou and Jerry for me. Condolences to the Vignogna family.

Very sad to hear. Prayers for George and his whole family. He was a great guy and always fun to talk to in the lanes. I loved hearing stories about him and Lou during the years when they ran Hemis. God Speed my friend.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 20th 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cargain Funeral Home - Mahopac (418 Route 6, Mahopac, NY 10541). A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, March 21st 2023 at 10:00 AM at the St. John the Evangelist Church (221 E Lake Blvd, Mahopac, NY 10541).
