Live from Cecil County d1 .90 style

Well drove in today around 5 had to change a trailer tire around the Dover, de area. Seems I picked up a steel stem into my tread, glad I bought the tire minder system as I watched the psi drop fairly quickly. Was able to get to a good safe spot to change it.
Weather looks great with a few chances of showers Saturday and Sunday. There is a test and tune tomorrow but I just can’t justify $125 for a few passes. I will check back in tomorrow with some updates and pics

Good Thursday morning everyone a beautiful day ahead highs going to 87° test and tune will start, I believe around 1:00, come on out if not to test just to get out into some great weather, I will be sitting around cleaning up the trailer and just enjoying the day.
One thing I did notice new from division 1 is our new Director has found a way to fix things that were not broken. In his infinite wisdom he has decided to send super street out first daily. Don’t know if you realize how many fast cars we have in division 1 with track prep 1/8 mile on being an issue last year. I sincerely hope we don’t see a lot more wrecks.

On a different note, I am only about a month away from revealing my new car, been thinking about putting all the photos up in the build section but after watching Todd Geisler’s car being built, it would hardly compare. But this has been a little over two years project now. from a bunch of pipes and a plan to the finish paint. With a little help from a few of my friends, this project never left my shop so most things were done in house. Yes, it is still possible to build your own car and hopefully be competitive. Would really like to know if there’s any interest on seeing the build progress?

Would love to see the build Keith, after seeing your cool tow rig I wouldn’t even hazard a guess what it is. Willys, 911, ? The build section always gets lots of views.

Good Luck this weekend to everyone, after thrashing all week to get the motor back together we went to start it today and it was spewing oil out. Not sure if it was a bolt not tight or just an error but, we decided to throw the towel in. My dad is 75 and not a spring chicken anymore (even though in his head he thinks he’s 25) and can tell the work was getting to him. I told him to look everything over and make sure everything is good for two weeks and the .90 opener at ATCO.

Keith, I’ll probably be down tomorrow to watch as I have to drop some fuel off to Dave Berfeldt who’s driving our other car. I’ll help get some pics for ya!

This is our first time here , it’s a nice track. The drive here from Florida is brutal. The south is so much flatter !!

Good morning everyone woke up today to a light rain. Junior dragster‘s were supposed to be out at 8:30 but looks like we’re going to be on a delay. Not sure how much will get done. on and off light rain with a chance of thunderstorms this afternoon
tomorrow looks great. Will keep you all posted later.

Change in schedule this morning. We are gonna have juniors first time trial then first round eliminations of super street. Then back to second time trial of juniors and then I think it follows the run order from there. No more qualifying today we are into first round for all class.

Well guys, I bowed out this morning with a .006 MOV. Weather is still looking pretty good and they got all first rounds in I believe, and are going to try to finish a second round today. Weather tomorrow looks great so I’m sure they’ll finish. I am however packing up going home and getting right to work on that new car one more day earlier it could be out!

I guess it was time for an issue , lost a trailer tire on the way to Rochester. Luckily we had just pulled in for a pee break.

You should get that tire minder system. I bought mine with 10 TPS sensors for just under $500. I feel it’s worth every penny.
