Left Sunday afternoon around noon. Uneventful but rainy ride to Columbus. Got in parked, now we’re out getting supplies and having a few laughs with my Canadian friends. Also like to mention my friend, Jay Neville, who won the division one All-Star points in super street . I really think he has a good chance of winning that in Dallas. And Dave long in s/c Good luck to them in Dallas

Looks like one of the Canadians might be going to Texas also, Rick Stroud & Rich Price tied for the SG All Stars but, I am not sure how they determine via the tie breaker.

Very nice sunny warm day here in Columbus. They are having a test n tune starting at noon. I’m just gonna play around a bit, have some adult beverages and watch some of the excitement. Check back later. It’s very nice to have Jegs close by. We made a trip there yesterday and I ended up spending a few dollars. My brand new MSD alternator took a crap at Numidia, hard to believe with under four races something like that would go bad, but that’s how it is in today’s industries. Grrrrrrrrr

Honestly, it looks like a crime scene, but there is still a lot of spots left. You may have to just park in the fields.

Well, it has become a rather nice day. Super street was out first and the track was good after waiting many hours we finally got our second run and the track not so good lost five numbers in 60 foot but still was able to pull off a 90 with a four that would put me in the top eight for tonight, looks like it’s gonna be a long day
anyhow, lots and lots of cars here. Good to see the turn out.
Oh, and after checking out the 19 package on the time slip, there was also a free single scoop ice cream ticket for everyone attached, how nice

They are announcing around 600 total cars for the event, from the videos Ken posted on the Stk / SS site looks like lots of places to park, have to remember out of that 600 cars half the people have stackers with 2-3 cars in them now which cuts down on the place looking “full”

Sorry guys haven’t done much reporting this weekend other than it being hot and me working on the car a lot I been pretty busy. I did hear that Dwight Neust with the unusual Mopar rampage truck/car wrecked at top end not sure, but believe he got into the other car also, but from what I understand the rampage rolled don’t know if he’s OK or not I do know that he is getting up there in age so I’m sure he is sore. Prayers for Mr. Nuest

After losing first round last night by .001 red, my alternator belt had come off again, so I just cut it off not sure if not running the alternator this morning. Had anything to do with picking up quite a bit but I didn’t make it through today either so I replaced the alternator this morning. Went into town and got some belts. Hopefully I’m ready to try again tomorrow.

I’ve been watching it at home and saw a crash between Dwight and Ausby Brewington but, the way the camera is set up on the live feed you can’t see much and just said that there was a crash and they were transporting the drivers for further evaluation. So hoping Dwight and Ausby are good and the damage isn’t that bad.

I was able to avoid dwight. They said he was ok. Just wanted to evaluate him. Definitely not what you wanna see happen. I think maybe he got on the brakes and where the shutdown is kind of bumpy maybe started chattering the tires and couldn't gather it up. Just speculation.

Steve Eckard won one for the door cars in Super Comp over Greg Kamplains kid

Super Gas was a kid making his debut in NHRA - Jesse Fritts over Dave Morris

Super Street was Don Moyer or Mark Smith, Mark had hurt the motor in the semis and brought it up to the line but got shut off because it was leaking oil.

Today’s plans include one time run only for the 90 classes and they will try to get two rounds of elimination’s in. Supposedly there’s weather coming.

I know this won't affect Keith since he had such a great week at Columbus (NOT!) but did anyone else see that they awarded Divisional points in Super Street class for the first race on Wednesday and Thursday which was the Sports National race, not for the actual Divisional race on Friday and Saturday? Sure hope they correct this, some racers were only there for the Divisional race on Friday and Saturday.

Just talked to someone at Division 3. They informed me that Super Street does in fact receive divisional points for the Sports National event, and they also receive divisional points for the points race. They are having technical difficulties with their system right now, and they will be adding the points from the divisional race for Super Street competitors when they get the issue rectified. Now I know, don't miss the Sports National race if you want the extra divisional points, and of course the grade point. I Had a prior commitment, and could not make the first race.
