Ms Penny Bender
 

I know most are on Facebook the nosey network these days but some are not. Ms Penny passed away this morning after a courageous battle with cancer. Please keep Bob and the family in your prayers. Penny was a fixture at the track and I always loved seeing her line up Bob in the Big Girl especially for his round one win at Maple Grove a couple months ago. RIP in Ms Penny

Saw it on FB this morning and prayed someone had hacked Bob and it wasn’t true. Recall seeing Penny at the Baby Gators this year, cheering Bob’s every time trial. RIP Penny, your courageous fight fits right with your character. Prayers for all the family and especially Bob.

Very sad to hear the news. My sincerest condolences to Bob and family. I always enjoyed spending time with Ms Penny for the many years that I've known her. Very big void now exists in our racing family. She will definitely be missed by us all. God speed and keep watching over Bob and the rest of us. RIP my dear friend.

One of the really nice things about NHRA Stock Eliminator, is the friends that you meet along the way and the fact that they can be considered really GOOD people and sometimes even better than your actual family. The Benders are those type of people that I would consider as family from the first time I had the pleasure of meeting them, always with a kind word and Penny always with a big hug. It doesn’t get better than that. None of us get out of this deal alive, but it is really a shame that we lose some of the really good people so young. I’m going to miss Penny when I travel to Division 1, especially her laugh. As many have said, Penny is in a much better place and now she is pain free. God Bless Penny and Bob……

So sorry to hear this sad news. Penny just loved Stock Eliminator drag racing. In November 2021 at our annual Stock / Super Stock race at Mason Dixon Dragway Bob reached the final and when his win light came on you should have seen her reaction to the win. Just shear joy! We will all miss Penny!
