Re: Rig Insurance?

One thing to check on is if the insurance companies insures rigs registered in the state that your rig is registered in. At one time there were some companies that would not insure a rig if it was not registered in the state that you live in. You really don’t want to know how I found out, but it was another hard learned lesson.

I’ve got Foremost for the Motorhome and Laris for the race cars, trailer and contents.

I looked at Foremost but they are expensive. I put all my vehicles and house with AAA and the motorhome insurance was cheap with AAA. Also just got a big bump from AAA and decided to look around. Have received several quotes from others, but those are higher than AAA even with their increase. Finding out insurance rates are up 20 to 40 percent. Get ready for sticker shock.

James, just for info One of my stock buddies keeps his car and trailer here insured by Don., He had an incident going to Pomona. I have to say I’m very impressed on how they have handled it all.

My Motorhome is insured with GoodSam (National General) a division of Allstate which is a part of Camping World ~ the best price I've found by far. Was paying over $600 for 6 months ~ and now I'm paying $386 for a year with $250 deductible.
