Sort of on the same topic, but I saw an interesting thing at Costco yesterday. They had a card for the races at Gateway. $149, included a seat for the Cup race, the Indy Car race, and the drag race.

Yeah, has nothing to do with entries but I thought it was some different marketing.

Nice package (What a steal 3 races for the price of 1), Costco to the rescue, just checked my round trip would only be 700 additional bucks. Just like that $0.18 cent fee comment.

And the parking at the airport while I am gone at Las Vegas would be a bigger bill than seeing 3 great races when I returned. Economics 101, reality bites!

I did love the edits.

Re: Texas Motorplex Double Ticket Cost

Bobby,

I addressed this with the operations manager at the track and he adjusted this to where the online ticketing would now ONLY include 3.5% CC fee.

On the $400 entry, it is an extra $14 without any additional fees and taxes. For those racers that registered prior to the adjustment, you will be getting a refund for the difference. In addition, I do not pay the $5 ticket insurance.

For those saying to pay cash, there are certain venues that absolutely refuse to accept cash and I have talked until I am blue in the face to pay at the gate once again rather than paying online. However, this appears to be the way it is at some venues.

At TVRP (Noble), the fee was $1 on a $200 entry, which is much more racer friendly.

The new way of doing business?
Watch for separate charges on your card, no more all in one..
Shipping, card fee etc…

Ticket protection is if you can't go and then you get you money back
