Oil Accumulator Solenoid Valve

I am installing a Moroso Accumulator in my stocker and am looking for a cheaper option than the Moroso or Canton solenoid valve to activate it.

Has anyone used anything else or are these two the most reliable options out there?

Thank you in advance.

My opinion having the Moroso valve, it's the best option. You could just use a ball valve and turn it on in the morning and off before shutting down at the end of the day. Cheapest option but not near as effective as pre-oiling at every start up.

I used a standard 12v oil compatible solenoid valve. No fuss, no muss. Available from any hydraulic supply company.

Because you can run a lower oil level in the pan and still be safe.
I don't believe in prelubing an in service engine, I'll start the engine with the valve closed then when the engine is warmed up slowly open to avoid a sudden drop in oil pressure and then leave the valve open the rest of the day

I did that for one weekend. Ordered the Moroso valve Monday morning.

Moroso has good stuff. I'm sure there are cheaper (i.e. made by slave labor) alternatives.

And wire the thing to a dedicated switch so you can control when it's open, and when it's not so it can recharge. The big advantage is it will act as a diode and allow the can to recharge without allowing the oil to escape when the engine is off.

Pre-lube the engine and I don't have a magic oil pan.

Why not, other than weight?

I would guess the Mororso valve maybe manufactured by ASCO.
They are one of the largest manufactures of various type
Solenoid valves.

I thought that it was Goyen who made the Moroso valve.
