Hey guys, we are at the Rock... Rockingham Dragway, D2's last race of the year. The weather outlook looks great, a little on the cool side at night, but no rain in sight. I will be back tomorrow with a ride through the pits along with photos.

Was planning to make the race this weekend but the hurricane down here put a monkey wrench in that plan. I missed a whole week of work the week of the hurricane. No power that week from Wednesday to Sunday. Just couldn't take the days off for the travel. Good luck to all the racers.

I couldn't tell you. There was a good amount of Stock and Super Stock cars testing. The video will give you an idea, but this was made early in the day, and a lots more rigs rolled in later.

Ok folks, another video, this time we are in Chris Whitney's 1967 427 A/S Fairlane. Sorry for the in car sound, for some reason the mic could not handle the upper rpms. Nothing is wrong with Chris's car, it s just the mic.

Its nice to see D7 cars on the east coast, Chris now lives in North Carolina, but Robert Pond in his 66 427 Fairlane and Scott Hilton driving Chris's other 427 Fairlane which is a 66, are from California.

I talked to all three gentlemen, and they tell me they are headed to Maple Grove next week to battle for the A/S title.

Good chilly morning everyone... Dam its cold, as I type the temp is 43. Weather forecast says it will warm up to 69 with sun all day. I will post weather numbers below. Stock will be out after Super Street starting a 9am. I would guess that would be around 9:30, so the air will change a bit when Stock is running.

The reason I'm mentioning this is, its quick, really quick here. I'm sure many of you want to know what the weather numbers will be when Stock runs. So here are the weather numbers now and I will post Q1 numbers later.

Q1 for Stock just finished up. As soon as the post qualifying, I will post here. Weather numbers below for Q1. Many cars lifted and the starting line seem to be in good shape, but there were a hand full of cars that spun. This is not an exact count, but I'm thinking the low 80's for Stock.

Its my pleasure, and no I did not make a run this morning. I wanted to get photos and video in the lanes. I made the second run, most races I just make one pass, unless I have issues.

I did a few on youtube but have always been able to just click on the video here and watch. I just watched the last one, it worked fine. I just went back and watched the others on the forum. Maybe it was a setting on the uploads.

Good morning folks, and its another chilly morning, the temperature is 46 as I type. Weather conditions for today, a repeat of yesterday with slight rise in the mid day temp which should hit 70.

Juniors are out first at 9am, followed by Super Street round 1, and then Stock for round 1. We run to completion today. The open is on Sunday, with 1 qualifier and run to completion.

Thanks Ken for Q-sheets and cool videos, now that I've had my morning dose of Class Racer I can get my day started, now I'm off to my Grandson early baseball game, any idea of how many and what class records set? Got me wondering when I saw the 'R' on Brian Oakes Camaro.

Hey guys, I think the issue with live timing and no updates on DRC is the Timing system. Rockingham does not use the NHRA standard system. I'm guessing the Rockingham timing system is not compatible with NHRA's system.

I apologize guys, I got cracked first round so I hit the road. If I would have know there would be no DRC updates, I would have stayed and posted. The tech trailer had updates pretty much after every class ran.

I'm pretty sure Brian Oakes set the SS/CA record at 8.79@150.50. No other records were set as far as I know.

Dang Butch you're calling me out! To be honest I had my own issues all weekend right from the start.
As y'all probably noticed I was not even at the track for Q1 or Q2.
My youngest daughter had a big presentation at school Friday morning so I didn't make it to the Rock until 2:30 on Friday and then they cancelled the third run but was able to get on the sheet with the cleanup run Friday evening.
No big deal until the gremlins showed up and had me scratching my head all weekend. I started behind the eight ball so to speak and never really got caught up as I got taken out first round on a very nice run by Mr Wendell Howes.
Hopefully I'll get the ship righted and I'll do a live from the double CCRA race in Jacksonville NC coming up the weekend before Thanksgiving.
