Ken Meile
Ken,
Would you please address the issue that has been, IMO, destroying your board? 1320racer has stated that he has the right to free speech. That's incorrect. This is your board, and what you say goes. I have PM'd you regarding this issue, and you told me to put him on "ignore". That's all well and good, but when someone quotes him, everyone can see it. The thread then goes way off topic, and, as others have said, is no longer interesting, to paraphrase. It appears, and I mean no disrespect, that all you want is "clicks", and have lost direction of where your board is going. Google his name or username, and it's easy to see the disruption he has caused on the web. It's obvious that he has major issues. I hope he seeks help, but we shouldn't be subjected to his vitriol in the meantime. I am a member of several boards, relating to many different subjects, and I've never seen behavior like his tolerated. If this isn't addressed, I will no longer log on, and will discontinue my membership if that's possible. I'm sure I won't be missed. That's not my point. I've been a fan of S/SS since 1972. I've helped some racers, and raced with a partner for a few years. I will miss this board, but I won't subject myself to this any longer. |
Re: Ken Meile
Some one should start a poll on weather he should be banned. This would indicate how many people are tired of this type of of content and person.

Re: Ken Meile
I have really enjoyed and valued the many years and interactionsI
on the site over many years. I thank you for the hard work and dedication you have put into this site. I have received a lot of valuable information and I hope that I have also been a help to my racing friends whenever I have been presented with the oppportunity. However, 1320 has sidetracked many threads and stirs up controversy with constant character dispersions and rude insults. It has been consistently a major distraction from the great experience this forum has been for our family over the last 15 years. John Irving (Sr.) |

He has not broke any rules, if you don't like what he says don't read or respond, its that simple. Do you really want me to be another Facebook, YouTube, and the old Twitter. Do want me to be become like those institutions of political correctness. Is that what you really want... well that will not happen here. If I loose members and traffic, so be it. If your are not happy with my response, you need to move on. No point in being here if you are unhappy. Its kind of sad to see this type post. What your really are doing is canceling me because a member is rude or you don't like how he says things. Are we that sensitive that we can't handle another opinion when we don't like it. Plenty of members go right back at him, none of them are telling me to remove him. If you don't break the rules, you don't get band. That's my final say on this topic. |

We expect now that you “will no longer log on and will discontinue” :D your membership as you threatened to do!

Thank you sincerely for what you do, as you provide a great forum for those of us who truly love Class Racing. I've been a member since 11/04/2001 and understand your decision based on ergonomics in a business sense, however I disagree with your position on this member disrupting the quality and content of this forum so I will not continue to post on this forum. Thank you forever, Frank |
Re: Ken Meile
Ken, I have asked before on other subjects why you don't have a dislike button, you may find out your followers are more upset than you think, it would be a much better way to respond to a post than getting into a pissing match all the time.
|
Re: Ken Meile
this is exactly what the Hollywood crowd does, threatens to leave if they don't get their way and they didn't again and just like back in 2016, they didn't leave the country then and they ain't leaving now and neither is anyone here that's been a regular contributor for years nor do I want them to.
Ken has made his position very clear. |
Re: Ken Meile
My suggestion is making this thread a Sticky. I also like the dislike button.
That will help keep track of one who threatened to leave & the other who will not continue to post. I'm betting they will not do as they stated! ;) 1700/781L :) |
Re: Ken Meile
I understand, and agree with, Ken's decision regarding censorship.
Sadly, and I understand why they're doing it, people are leaving. My suggestion is that everyone shut the .... up, stop talking about it, and stop participating. It takes two to tango, and honestly, I'd rather not see any of you dance. |
Re: Ken Meile
I deal with rude, obnoxious people all the time, everyday. They don't bother me. I can ignore them. I also don't like censorship and am not in favor of people being kicked out whom I disagree with.
What is sad is the number of threads that start out being interesting, educational, enlightening, engaging, and thought provoking, and at some point devolve into a pissing and insult contest with pages that have nothing to do with the original post. I don't know what to do other than don't take the bait. |

I?d like to see the ( Alert the administrator) also. Easy way to keep track of bs.. |
Re: Ken Meile
Ive never thought to myself, I miss what Frank Castros says ... but yet if 1320 posts .... im more interested ... who gives a rip. Its a board, care/dont care/ post - dont post. Happy new year boys!

Re: Ken Meile
$100 says if you put a poll up and let the people vote he will be gone. Are you a man of the people Ken?
I could care less about an individual who's outlook on life is so bleek this is his soul means of entertainment. Just for the record. |

Re: Ken Meile
Two members have mentioned a poll, put it up!
It wouldn't matter, but it would be cheap entertainment. 1700/781L :) |
Re: Ken Meile
you're not getting a dislike button nor an Alert the administrator and a meaningless poll will do nothing except allow the Rachel Maddows, the haters of the forum who feel only their opinions and advice belong here, have a thread where they can cry together. I'll take that bet James Hill x10!
Again, Ken has made his position very clear. Quote:

Nope, I have no say, no financial position, nor am I Ken’s partner. I know this because Ken has made his position very clear and Billy, why the hate, other than you don’t like my opinions and advice, you don’t know me, we’ve spoken once maybe twice a few words since I first heard your name and saw you in the lanes at island over 30 years ago.

Re: Ken Meile
I used to check the daily posts on here EVERY DAY!!! Even my wife Linda used to keep track of discussions here.I've even learned a few helpful things for our combination. We travel all around the US and everywhere we go Class Racer WAS our go too in off times.
But now, every time someone is looking for suggestions, help, ideas or sharing something they've found,,someone turns a great post into an insult and argument that goes just the opposite of what the original person that did the post was trying to share or ask for help with an issue they've run into. This sight used to be so interesting and helpful and was a great place to log onto and see what people in Sportsman Dragracing were doing with their combination. And seeing who's getting a start in Stock Eliminator. Right now Class Racer is the furthest thing on our mind,so it's been fun but when the fun is gone it's time to stop. |

Upper left corner, where it says "user CP"(control panel), then go to "edit ignore list", enter the user you want to ignore, click OK, done.
Only downfall is when the ignored person is quoted, it shows up. Just don't quote. |
Re: Ken Meile
Too funny and rather pathetic that some grown men here that can’t handle differing opinions and advice only because they come from a bracket, .90 racer who has made more passes on the track than most of the regulars that post here, need an ignore option to cope because they can’t get their way and have him banned yet we obviously have more in common than not.
|
Re: Ken Meile
I firmly believe that most members of CR do not give 2 ****zz about your bracket car , especially ME.
|
Re: Ken Meile
You have ever right to post your opinions and advice.
The problem is you can not handle when other people (who also have ever right to post) tell you that your opinions and advice is wrong. That is when the shyt storm happens. Stan |
Re: Ken Meile
says the clown that derailed this thread starting at post #9, a nobody, a computer]programmer, a clueless old man who never raced and that no one here with a clue gives him, nor his malarkey the time of day.
Pathetic old fool who's days are running out on this rock yet he spends them here, on a forum he has no first hand knowledge and experience of the topics being discussed. Further, my technical opinions and advice are not wrong, they are mine, based on my over 3 decades of on track experience in multiple cars. Further yet, my opinions about the future of NHRA class racing again are not wrong, they are mine based again on my 1st hand experience, my observations, my conversations with other racers and NHRA officials over decades. |

This is funny as hell! Ed: In place of sitting back and letting this go since Ken defended you and given you free reign over his board you are in defense mode! Am sure you see it as gloating but you are showing you're weak..... So sad AND effing funny!!! LOL!!!:D:p:o |
Re: Ken Meile
Wrong Frank, I’m neither gloating nor defensive and more important Ken didn’t defend me, much less give me “free rein over his board” he simply stated that he’s not moderating HIS forum based on the dislikes of others. He has rules in place and no one gets banned that follows HIS rules.

Re: Ken Meile
Here's a shocker.... another thread turned into a F'in train wreck by Big Head Ed.
He's been banned from just about every other drag racing related site and after being re-instated on DRR he single handedly turned that site into a ghost town. Congrats 1320clown....... Can't wait to hear more facts...truth....experience's....etc. in 25!!:D:D:D:D Oh Geez! I think I just threw up in my mouth a lil!! LOL! |
Re: Ken Meile
Here’s a shocker…Kenny Anderson again commenting about me, shooting his fat azz mouth off online but not a peep out of him when I’pm standing 10 feet from him and pitted in the same lane as him, directly across from him for a week! He never got over me not buying a Classic trailer from him 20 years ago! Again, too fucing funny!.

"By agreeing to these rules, you warrant that you will not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-oriented, hateful, threatening, or otherwise violate any laws." Seems like the problem is that you have a very different view of the meaning of hateful as a lot of us do. Yes, it's your site and your rules but over the years I've seen quite a few sites close down due to forgetting that they need people who find them useful and enjoyable - and not annoying for no good reason. Disagreement is fine (and sometimes necessary) but requires backing up your opinion with facts - and unproven personal anecdotes don't count. Here, it's simply personal attacks when the opinion is challenged. Look at the likes in the various messages. They come from people who contribute a lot of knowledge and are reliable sources. I salute you for what you've done until this. From the days of CIS Go Racing, the Prodigy site, and many others I've seen many fade out and tank when the posters who provided great content leave. I think you may be a bit too focused on the censorship and PC things (knowing you didn't ask for my opinion) which don't really apply here. So no laws are being broken here even with the various court cases which have modifed the original language, but the usefullness of this site has been crippled. I don't expect a reply, but from your message and the "love it or leave it" statement, I remember well how that turned out in the past. |
