Re: LODRS D7 Phoenix
I'm jealous, I should be there with my new car. Had tech card and car ready and the family came down sick right before leaving. I haven't made any passes yet in good air.
What's the humidity like? are you getting close to sea level DA? Looks like guys are being a little more careful with the AHFS. |
Re: LODRS D7 Phoenix
This should give you a fairly good idea of the weather there.

The little car still runs good...Went about .80 under on the test 'n' tune day. I tried something different in the eliminator..It didn't work. Meanwhile, this car has got to go...soon! Somebody make me an offer ..You'll probably own it. ;-) |
Re: LODRS D7 Phoenix
Yac,
Will you share that dramatic change? Frank I have followed your racing endevour from Connecticut Raceway, Edgewater Raceway Park to somwhere in the great state of Arizona. You have always been a 99 percentile racer. Why other than the challenge would you not want to drive a quicker and faster race car before they take you drivers license away from you. LOL! |

Re: LODRS D7 Phoenix
Any of you racers in Div. 7 have any contact info for Brad Peterson ?
He was driving a white Mustang # 7351 ( Stock Eliminator ) at the Div. 7 Phoenix race over the weekend. I looked up his name on this site but no luck. Any leads are appreciated |

Re: LODRS D7 Phoenix
It's a 2010 Mustang GT with the 3 valve 281. He has it in K, This combo can run I,J,K. There was no ecoboost in 2010, only the 281 and 4.0 V6. Reason I know, is because I'm building this combo right now. Glad to see someone else running it.

Yes, the car is stock, including full exhaust, AC, power steering, cup holders and SiriusXM radio.
One of RFC guys was "busting my chops" for drinking coffee in the staging lanes while listening to Classic Rewind. The car is a rescue. It most likely would have been parted out and crushed. I got it from an auction as it had been written off as a total loss. I had it put on a frame machine and straightened then some budget paint work, new fender and nose were added. She's a bit of a secretary's car. Not very flashy and in a class of her own. Maybe I should call her Moneypenny or Pepper Potts. Brad 7351 K/SA |

Re: LODRS D7 Phoenix
Perfect weather for Phoenix if there ever was any...maybe just a tiny bit too perfect for my cars liking (oh, it loved that cool morning air and track temp for sure, afternoon not as much after the sun beat down on that jet black track a while), always attempting to catch up a bit to a few feet of lower D.A. each and
every morning as the afternoon temp was climbing the opposite way. Will anyone with a little tiny box of luck sitting on a shelf somewhere (and has not used it up), please forward it to me right away (etsy and ebay does not carry it as I looked, and Luke B. does not have a "Driving The Stripe for really slow guys" course listed!)....racer in need....lol. Just joking, but dang it. My last 3 race days Sunday, Friday, Sunday I needed just a little luck (CW Hoeffer, CW Hoeffer, Jody Lang). And in all 3 close was just not close enough, even by a few thou. (I still have a sense of humor though...Steel sharpens Steel is all I can say!) My world is soon to change, Monday after next I drop the car off at RAD in Lake Havasu City to finish up the Holley Ter. X and get out (I hope and pray), of being marred in the 47th Q spot and move up the Q list a bit. We shall see if that helps. But, I would still take a tiny touch of luck too as we are going to soon lose this magic west coast early morning weather fast! |
