ASRA Race #4 and #5 at NED
 

We are just about 1 week away from Race #4 and #5 on the season which will be held August 20th and 21st at New England Dragway. Lots of details to share related to racing this weekend.

The race on Saturday, August 20th will be run in memory of Steve and Beth Broadbent. With support from the Broadbent family, and some anonymous donors, there will be increased payout at this race which is still going up. Should be a good day of racing in honor of some longtime friends who have been dearly missed.

This weekend is also the bonus program supported by the Cultrera family and Eastern VP Fuel Sales. The top 4 point earners over the two days of racing will each receive a $100 gift certificate for VP fuel. Its a great program offered to all participants.

Racers can arrive Friday and stay inside overnight. Those doing so have to pay spectator fees. If you arrive before 5pm, cost is $15 per person ($5 spectator fee for test and tune, $10 spectator fee for street night). If you arrive after 5pm, cost is $10 per person (street night spectator fee).

The NHRA Divisional at New England Dragway will be run the following weekend (August 26-28). Racers are permitted to leave their trailers but only in the grass section. Also, reserving of pit spots will not be permitted per the direction of NHRA Division 1.

In memory of Steve and Beth Broadbent, Jim Boudreau's Automotive and the Boudreau Family will providing the winner of each race on Saturday and Sunday with an extra $500! Payment will be mailed directly to each winner from Jim himself.

This is a great gesture in tribute to some great people.
