Race #11 Grand Bend results
 

Saturday dawned a cold windy day after a rainy Friday. But undeterred, 26 racers came to Grand Bend to compete.
After considerable work by the track personnel, we were ready to race the 1/8 mile.

As usual,there was lots of close competition throughout the rounds of racing.
One of the highlites of the race was the semi-finals. Two young guns, John Wisman versus Quinn Berry and two "seniors”, Vic Belemy versus FJ Smith.
In the finals, Quinn Berry bested FJ for his first win, and put himself solidly in the top ten in points. Quinn dedicated his win to Jimmy Moore who had helped him learn the basics of drag racing.

Special thanks go to Paul Spriet and the Grand Bend crew for working so hard to give us a safe place to race and then providing dinner for all the racers after the day’s finish. We look forward to returning to Grand Bend next year.

The points have definately tightened up so as usual, our last race, Sunday, Oct 16 at TMP, will determine the championship.
