Where's Bucky Hess

At the Pennsylvania Dutch Classic last year, an announcement was made stating that Bucky Hess was selling his SS/AH '68 Barracuda. Does anyone know if Bucky has retired from racing? I haven't heard anything about him since the Dutch Classic.

I don't profess to speak for Bucky nor know all he is doing. However, I do know that he sold his car to the Teutons. It's probably being driven by L'il Joe at Belle Rose. Bucky had a new car built by Phil Mandella. Bucky & crew are wiring it, painting, etc. so he should be out with the car later this year. I'm sure it will be a beauty.

Bucky Hess also posted on another message board that he took a 65 Belveder Hemi car
in trade for the SS/AH Cuda from the Teutons so he is also working on that car too.

Julie and Philip, thanks for the info. I am glad that Bucky will be returning with a new car. The Hemi Challenge wouldn't be quite the same without him.

Bob,

Bucky has his own in-house engine program going with Joe Scott. He's doing quite well with it.
