I can be incorrect...but, as I understand, stick shift cars are running bias-py and not radials in Stock Eliminator

Radials will not work in a stick car. Bias ply or the Mickey Thompson stick shift tire is what you need to use. Have fun!!!!!

How about radial vs bias with a transbrake?

Joe is right on. Buy a set of Mickey Thompson 29.5 stick tires. Make sure yo uget the right ones. They make a 29.5 bias ply for an auto and a radial 29.5. This wont be a problem if you buy then at a MT trailer, but if you order from a 3rd party make sure they send the right ones. I know Larry Hodge sells them and will know what you need. The part # is 3056ST. The MTs last and are quick. Welcome to stick stock racing! Lot's more fun! Don't forget the clutch pedal switch. :)

I agree on the tires, and the 3056st tires are a good choice. 10 years ago or so when my camaro would make l or m stock (stick), I used some radials on a few record runs. The car would loose a few hundredths in 60 and gain that and a couple more back down track. It was a net gain but the car was heavy and it won't work at faster et's nowadays in my car.

I agree with Dave Casey. The MT 3056st is the correct tire for stick cars.

With tubes and screws or without?

What is the differance between the 3056 and the 3056st Mickey? Is it is stiffer sidewall or ???? How will the 3056st work on an automatic car?

3056st tire is a M5 compound. 3056 is a L8 compound. St tire also has less tread-as all manual transmission tires. The compound is harder which wears less.

I always run the 3066st tire. This tire is no longer available. I tried the 3066 instead. Threw them away after 12 passes. Bought the 3056st. Right back where I was before, 'cept a few more rpms...
