Wilwood Dynalite Brakes

I've got mixed reviews about the Dynalite brakes system. I'm looking to upgrade my factory disc/drum setup for a lighter and more durable system. I'm running a stocker @ 3300lbs and I'm looking to launch closer to 3000 rpns. Any thoughts/help? Thanks

I installed them all the way around on my 69 Road Runner. I haven't ran the car yet, but they appear to be top notch. No complaints on the install.

I have the willwoods with the vented rotors on the front of my HEAVY Cutlass. I'm very happy with them! MUCH better than the 4 wheel drum it had! I had the same brakes on all 4 on my old Red 65 Cutlass.

Don't know if this will help as I leave off a t-brake, but I have Willwoods with drilled rotors and never had a problem with stopping, even on short tracks. I did use their high temp fluid and spent quite a bit of time bleeding the system. Also went with their master cylinder and proportioning valve..................My car weighs 3020 with me in it ..........Hope this helps

I have Wilwoods on the front of my Demon. It stops great, better than with the O.E. drums.Make sure you take your time to center the calipers on the rotors and adjust the wheel bearings correctly. My Wilwoods spin very easily.

I had no trouble with my front dynalite kit. Went together very easy. My rears on the other hand needed to be machined .025in to make them straight. Contacted them to let them know and the desk jockey wanted me to ship the rotors back for inspection in the middle of the race season. Ya ok. We came to the conclusion that i would send them back and I believe im getting a new set.

Re: Wilwood Dynalite Brakes

We put the light-weight, non-vented rotors/kit on our '86 Monte Carlo 4-speed Super Stocker last July. Haven't had any issues with stoppability. The car leaves at 8600 rpm and runs over 135 mph. At 3140 lbs. we had concerns we might abuse the rotors, but all has worked great for the past year. But I do agree, make sure the calipers are properly aligned on the rotors. This was somewhat of a pain, but worked out in the end.
