Shaft Rockers
Considering upgrading to a set of T&D shaft mount rockers when I freshen. Is anyone here running them or know what kind of HP gain to expect?

Re: Shaft Rockers
If you run big lift and/or a lot of spring pressure, shafts are a must have. The way I found out was, I put a dial indicater on a stud, inline with the rocker, and rolled the engine over and had over .0015" flex of the stud.

Re: Shaft Rockers
I don't know about horsepower gains but I sure do like the reduced maintenance and not having to use a stud girdle. I still check the valves about every 20 or so passes out of habit, but I haven't noticed any differences in clearance. They are a little time consuming to set up but they are worth it. I have T&D.

Re: Shaft Rockers
Went to shaft rockers on father's 482 cid, picked up about 8 hun and 1.5 mph. He has jesel. My small block has t and d shaft rockers. Like Floyd said, I still check them every weekend. Have adjusted 2 intake valves in 2 years. Approximately 365 passes. Be sure to get the pushrod length correct and not have the adjuster out too far.
