Well from what I have seen if they are over 6 months old they will side wall crack
The 1st set cracked at 6 months old and they replaced them the 2nd set did the same and I went to Hoosiers and no problems

Sad huh?? .....

Should be a four digit code. first two numbers are the week they were made and last two are the year. Example: 1007 ........second week of March in 2007. I hope that helps.

And by the way Craig Bourgeois ran some Chile made Goodyears for three and a half years(about 350 runs) and he bought them used. Never did crack but ran out of rubber on the surface. He is still looking for the sister pair of those.
