19.5 motorhome tires

Time for new tires on my 1999 winnebago adventurer that I tow with. 67000 miles on the original goodyears that have served me well. I am getting nervous with the age of these and need to change them.

They are 245 70 19.5 range F

I am looking to get another motorhome, maybe real soon if the right one came along or 2 years max, so i won't be wearing this set of tires out

checking so far
Goodyears RV tires 325-340 each installed plus taxes(they were 280 in the spring)
firestones 560 plus series 245-255 each " " " " "
chinese made- road something 169 each " " " "

Any ideas?
is this pricing in line ?
Recommendations ?
I am leaning toward the firestones right now

Thanks, dave

Re: 19.5 motorhome tires

I just had to buy a Michelin for my C4500. With mounting taxes valve stem and warranty, it ran my $410. Got it at Stoughals (sp?) in Houston. had Michelins on it, only 34,000 miles, ran it low of air and blew the sidewall out. Good thing we decided not to go racing or I would have had my 48' gooseneck attached to it. Towing bill (don't have a spare, like an idiot) was $250, insurance ws $120 deductible. dicsount doesn't sell these tires anymore.

Dave , Check out Hankook tires if they are available in your area. ....A good friend of mine who's a tire dealer sells quite a few of them, with very good feedback. ....... I got Earl Nichols 6 of them for his stacker, they were less expensive than all the other makes and are holding up quite well.........Tom

I needed to shop around some more, but I had to HAVE it yesterday. And I only needed one. Guess I could have bought two of those for the same price as the Michelin.

bringing this backup. Picked up a bolt last night with my new Michelin. Another tow bill, still havn't got a spare, didnt buy a road hazard. This tire only has about 4000 miles on it. Knew this was going to happen right before x-mas. Any of you guys know where in the Houston area you can get some of these Hankook"s. Internet search doesn't show a whole lot. Thanks. Oh yea, they are 225/70-19.5
