Brainerd Stock Question????

I was looking @ the NHRA.COM results for Stock & noticed there were a lot of cars missing from 1st. round? It showed 71 on the qualifying sheet then only 36 on the 1st. round results sheet?

Am i missing something or is there that many cars that didn't participate in eliminations?

Thanks!!!

The NHRA lists first round winners and next round pairs (if you go back and look you will see that it says that in the heading). So the 36 cars that are listed have already won first round and the car that they are paired with is their round 2 opponent. If you notice, 36 is one half of 71 (35 pairs and 1 bye in round 1).

www.dragracecentral.com

They have detailed results from every round. Or at least they did yesterday.
