I just finished talking with various officials and the track and it was decided it is best to cancel the race this weekend .It is our intent to watch out for the best interests of our racers and with the rain and winds still having the possibility of lingering this weekend we chose not to put any added expense on our racers of driving up there and getting rained out. We will be working on a new date monday and i will post it as soon as i know, please help spread the word and be safe during this storm , if anyone needs help just call me and i will send crews .

Nice Job Jim, that is a step in the right direction at looking out for the Racers, and i am sure everyone thanks you for this!;)

I'll second that - thanks for looking out for us Jim! I hope that everyone in the areas affected by the storm stays safe and I look forward to when we can get together for the next SSSSA race.

Good look Jim, so many promoters/tracks only look for the almighty dollar and will do anything to get it. I saw a race earlier this year that the weather was bad but the track didn't call the plug until the day was completely done. Once again good call Jim.

Jim good call on cancelation of SGMP race as it looks like the whole southeast is going to be wet for awhile. I am writing this @ 1:10 Wed. and looks like Fay is going to turn back to west northwest which will probally wet the track all weekend.

For those in doubt about racers running races... haven't met Jim Woods yet!!! I wished there were more like him.

Sean it has not quit raining here since monday nite so far 15 inches of ran and still pouring
