Live from Cecil County-NHRA Lucas Oil Series

Good morning and I can't believe my eyes --- not only is it a beautiful sunny day but as I'm writing this the tractor is dragging the track in preparation for today -- at 7AM -- who would believe it ! ! Its a little chilly (high 50's) but will warm up fast according to the weatherman and the outlook for the entire weekend is terrific with no rain (or any other stuff) in sight .

Racers are now pulling in the gates searching for that elusive perfect pit spot that they should have taken last night -- me , well lets just say I got a great stall near "Uncle Buck" and his portable Bar-b-q pit so I can watch him prepare his next masterpiece .

Like always -- And on with the show......................

PS--Hey Pudgie -- looks like your missing another great race weekend .

Don't eat all the food, I have to go to the bank then I'll be headed north for my 55 min. haul.

Hey Jack,
Good luck at Cecil County. I am hoping to be live from Bowling Green tomorrow. The engine and transmission are in the Cuda. Just have to get the fenders and front end on and all the interior pieces in. After being down for 6 years, the Cuda has become quite a project. We hope to get a time trial tomorrow and then 1st round and hopefully they will have test and tune on Monday before going on to Indy. We will be "Live from Indy", but not til either Monday night or Tuesday, if all goes well.

Thanks for the report, Jack. Well we aren't going to make it to Bowling Green. Just too much left to do. May go down the track for the 1st time at Indy!!
Until next week.

Just out of curiousity (assuming John was tearing down for the record), how did he set the record at 11.74? Peter Boslovitch set the K/SA record last weekend at 11.57.
