Detached Retina---Carolina Nationals......Thanks
 

Recently at the Carolina Nationals--Concord N.C.-- after the first round of Super Stock eliminations---I aquired a detached retina ( blindness ) in my right eye and received emergency surgery on Saturday ( No-show second round of course ) at Duke Eye Care Center, Durham N.C. I would like to thank such great friends as Gene and JoAnne Daugherty, Steve Johnson, the Jutt Crumpler family and anyone else involved for loading my rig up and getting it home and all of you that have called and prayed for my recovery. My vision is getting better every day so far and I hope will retain enough of my vision to race again at some point. Lesson # 1----today is a gift----praise God for it and enjoy it.

Sorry to hear that !! It's a BAD experience for sure....
I had one a year ago and still having problems. I hope your's turns out better than the experience I've had.
