More Moroso Motorsports Park Info
 

In case anyone missed it there's been some changes with events and scheduling at MMP. Haven't spoken to Mr. Case in at least a month, but been talkin to other racers-gearheads in the area. Was at the local speed shop 2 weeks ago and was informed the Ford race would be delayed, and the track won't open until November. The big news this week is the 5 day bracket race has been dropped altogether this year. George had also hinted he wanted to "ramp up" the Citrus Nats again, making it a respectable Div 2 venue once more. He had also been pushing for an LODRS date, but was informed the other tracks wouldn't part with their dates.

Tonight while at a local cruise night I ran into a couple racers who informed me MMP just signed a deal with IHRA for 2009. The talk was pretty big, as in a major event for either next year or 2010. But until I hear it from George direct, or a reliable source I'm not going to get too excited..at least yet. Lets hope.

From what I remember of the track when I was there last in 1990, it may be big enough for an IHRA national event. The remodeling could make it even more accomodating. :)
