I think first digit is carline,8th digit is engine code,10th digit is model year

Looks like it comes back to a 2002 Trans Am convertible with a 5.7 PFI OHV engine.

its a 2002 formula 5.7 canadian built convertible with an automatic transmission. your first number is what country it's built in, second tells you gm plant, next two tell you body style f being camaro firebird, v neing convertible. the next number tells you how many doors,then the next tells you restriant system. the 8th digit is engine code next means nothing. the year model is the tenth not sure about the eleventh but the last six is production sequence. hope this helps.

Thanks for the quick answers. It is my 2002 Collector's Edition T/A. I was trying to find out when it was built in relation to the others Collectors Editions.

It has alittle over 10,000 miles and was thinking about selling it.

If 3 is number of doors does hatch count as a door
If 2 is number of retriants
