Why aluminum and not plastic fuel cell.

Re: fuel cell choice

Once alum is bolted down it's grounded. Also a plastic cell over the years of setting in a hot trunk will start to loose it's shape as the heat & pressure from the hold-down straps wear on it. Oh & alum looks PRETTY! ;)

Less chance of condensation with a plastic cell.....I have a 5 gallon RCI.

What ever your choice is, I prefer aluminum, make sure to remove the foam

I agree with aluminum over plastic but I still have the original foam in my Triangle engineering 5 gallon cell for 5 years now with no problem, only running race gas though.. I think the cheaper cells have foam issues.

JMO....

Re: fuel cell choice

There's no need for foam unless you run roundy round. Just keep the cell full and there's no slosh. If you ever get fuel that won't check you'll be digging the foam out at the track anyway to get rid of the bad stuff trapped in the foam.
