Long Ball Joints

What does a longer ball joint do for the suspension from a performance standpoint? I don't see that they will increase suspension travel significantly or not at all. My brother and me are on a steep learning curve in stock eliminator and all comments will help us a great deal. Also, are there any good publications out there that can educate us better on stocker suspension set up? Thanks in advance.

Re: Long Ball Joints

I've never used tall balljoints, but I see how they increase travel, longer balljoint effectively raises upper control arm which allows it to move farther before contacting the frame bump stop. A buddy put tall ball joints on his Camaro this year and the front tires stay more straight up and down vs the bottom spread out as most old chevys do without modifications.
