My post says "see ya Pittsburgh" .It should say ,"see you AT Pittsburgh".Sounds like I said goodbye to the track!

I'd like to see Quaker get a points meet back as well

Actually, I heard that new owners of NHRA are going to change Maple Groves points race and the national event to Pittsburgh once they finish the track this year!........maybe quaker will be the next one!!

I can't see that happening anytime in the near. Pittsburgh has made tremendous improvements to its facility, but it still can't compare to Maple Grove. There aren't that many hotels, campgrounds or places to eat near PRP either that could handle a large national event crowd.

Agreed. Pittsburgh is a very nice little track right now. Little being the operative word. The Tedesco's have done an amazing job with the track and it is a truly a clean, fun and sticky place to race now. Those of you who have not gone there since it was the old 'keystone, really need to check it out. However, it is literially a 10th of the size of Maple Grove. The track is no where near large enough for an NHRA national event.
As for Quaker City, it is also a very nice little place to race and I am very VERY glad to see it has survived the potential yuppie onslaught of being turned into a plan of Ryan homes. A very strong thank you and Good Luck to the Mazzants with their purchase of the track. Kevin Panzino GT/FA 1202 |

If IHRA or the Mazzant's are reading this: Please give us a double points meet, this year. How about September 22-23?
