Alternator options, small block mopar
I am going to be running F/SA with a 340 mopar. I would like to here what some guys run for alternators. Good/Bad, cost effective and high dollar. Are there any tricks with belts or pulleys, etc?

Re: Alternator options, small block mopar
I have a Power Master #8172 on my 340 Duster, it comes with a V pulley and has a built in regulator so it can be set up as a one wire. Just follow the directions and take the old Mopar voltage regulator out. I used some of the factory brackets and made up some spacers to get it lined up right, found the right length belt and it works great. In '05 it cost $175 from Summit, may be more now. It was 6lbs lighter than a stock one and it can handle the 7000 engine rpm it see's and it seems to charge good at low rpm's.
