R.I.P. Bobby Brooks
 

I just learned today that div. 2 super gas racer and my good friend bobby brooks died today from a heart attack. this is a very sad day and i will miss my good friend and racer, god speed bobby. if you didn't know him personally i'm sure you knew his car a green english ford . with his boston terrier and his crew chief / wife angie. please pray for his family in this very tough time.chuck rothermel

I had the honor to spend many fun days and nights with Bobby and Angie. Would be hard to find anyone that was more fun to be around and to listen to, especially some of the stories of earlier days racing after having a few cold ones...

I would just like to pass along our thoughts and prayers to Angie and the rest of Bobby's family. He was a stand up guy, and you always knew you were going to have tough race on your hands anytime you staged up against him. I used to get a kick out of watching him get in the Anglia before a pass. He'd get in the "passenger" side instead of the "driver's" side everytime. Unless he raced somewhere since the Orlando LODRS divisional event a couple of weeks ago, I believe I'd have the honor of being the last racer to to make that trip down the old 1320 next to Bobby. I only wish now the result had turned out a little different. It won't be the same at SGMP without him. R.I.P Bobby. You will be missed by all of us.

All of us who had the pleasure of meeting Bobby (or just watching that crazy Anglia go down the track) know how blessed we were to have had him as a part of our racing family.
A super guy who will be greatly missed.
